Power Flushing
Central Heating Maintenance
Over time, central heating systems can accumulate sludge, rust, and other debris, leading to reduced efficiency and performance. Power flushing is a highly effective solution to cleanse your heating system thoroughly, restoring optimal functionality and prolonging the life of your equipment. At Manning Plumbing and Heating, our skilled technicians specialise in power flushing services to ensure your heating system operates at peak efficiency.
Our Power Flushing Process
System Assessment
Our technicians conduct a thorough assessment of your heating system to identify areas of concern and determine the extent of sludge and debris accumulation.
High-Pressure Flushing
We utilise specialised equipment to perform a high-pressure flush, circulating a cleansing solution through the system to dislodge and remove sludge, rust, and other contaminants.
Radiator and Boiler Maintenance
During the power flushing process, we pay special attention to radiators and boilers, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned and optimised for efficient operation.
Inhibitor Application
To prevent future build-up, we introduce a corrosion inhibitor into the system, protecting it from sludge formation and enhancing its longevity.
System Checks
After power flushing, we perform comprehensive system checks to ensure everything is in proper working order, leaving you with a revitalised and efficient heating system.
Types of new gas boiler

Combi boilers
The combi boiler, also called a combination boiler, remains a favored option for small to medium-sized residences. This compact and energy-efficient central heating system integrates a water heater and boiler into a single unit. With its ability to supply hot water instantly, without requiring a separate water tank, it not only conserves space but also lowers installation expenses.

System boilers
A system boiler operates by heating water contained in a cylinder or tank, which is subsequently circulated to radiators and hot water points across a property. Typically installed in medium to larger residences with increased hot water and heating needs, it’s particularly suitable for households with multiple bathrooms.

Heat only boilers
A heat-only boiler, also referred to as a regular or conventional boiler, necessitates a distinct hot water cylinder and a cold-water storage tank. Typically found in larger residences with substantial hot water needs and multiple bathrooms, it’s also prevalent in older properties undergoing heating system upgrades.
